Ministering to Women

Because

This is what we know: God loves us. He calls us to love each other; He commissions us to go beyond our world and share His love. So how do we do that? One way is through the church.

The Women's Ministry at Ingleside Baptist Church purposes to serve, whether it be through words of encouragement, prayer, or "being there" to do what ever is needed. People need to know Love and need to be in a place where they can show Love and experience it too.

Our goals

• To keep balance between ministering to others and being ministered to.
• To reach out to women and confront them with the love of Jesus Christ
• To help women develop their God given potential as persons of value in their home, church, and community.
• To encourage involvement of women in creative service under the leadership of the Holy Spirit.
• To bring together women of all ages and seasons of life for edification and service opportunities.

Where Could I fit in?

The following is a list of areas of interest for women and who to contact for more information. However, as we seek to serve creatively, this list could be growing. Please call the church office at 477-7251 if you do not find the area you are interested in.

Aerobics & Exercise

In the Family Life Center we have a workout room, a track for walking or running, and several scheduled activities such as aerobics, basketball, volleyball and ballet. For facility hours or schedule of classes or events call the Family Life Center (FLC) at 477­4003.

Arts & Crafts

We have a well equipped craft room and offer a fun time to do ceramics and other crafts while enjoying the fellowship of other crafters. For information or to sign up for classes call the FLC at 477­4003. If you would like to teach a craft call the FLC to see if we can get that started.

Battered Women's Shelter

Ministering to the whole woman through meeting the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs allows us to bring the love of Christ to women in crisis situations. We all need to know someone cares and this ministry continues to bring that message even after the women leave the shelter. If you are led to serve in this area or would like to contribute in any way, please call the church office at 477-7251.

Choir

Being a part of this ministry requires a heart that is eager to worship the Lord in song. If you feel timid about how you sound be assured this choir simply desires to please the Lord with the voices He has given us. There are opportunities to sing in any or all three morning worship services as well as occasionally in the midweek service. Rehearsals take place on Sunday evenings at 6:30 and child care is provided. Be a part of this exciting and rewarding time to worship with this family in Christ. Inglelights

If you are age 55 or older and desire fellowship with your peer group, this is the group for you. Every fourth Tuesday alternating noon and evening meetings join the Inglelights for a covered dish meal and hear a guest speaker. The Inglelights also take trips together at various times during the year. For more information contact the church office at 477-7251.

Women on Missions

Because Ingleside takes the Great Commission very seriously, our women support those who go to the mission field with prayer, mission projects, and by learning about missionaries and their needs. Adult women of all ages meet monthly. For more information on these meetings or to find out how you can be involved, call the church office at 477-7251.

Mothers Morning Out

This program is designed to provide parents with a few hours away to participate in activities of their choosing. It gives the children an opportunity to play and learn while interacting with children at their developmental stage in a secure Christian environment For openings in classes, cost, or any other information about MMO call 477-­0600.

Singles

In addition to weekly Sunday morning Bible study, the Singles plan various social activities throughout the year. Some of our "outings" have included: Sunday lunches, dinner/movie nights, cookouts, Macon Whoopee & Macon Braves games, bowling, Easter egg hunts (in the dark!), Christmas parties, and much more. Weekday Preschool

"Touching the lives of children with God's love" is our motto. A program for 2K, 3K, and 4K has been developed with concern for the total development of a child. Children are led to develop a sense of values, self-worth, and respect as well as a love of God and respect for all of His creation. • PRAY ­ Jeremiah 29:11 says He knows the plan He has for you and that it is a good one. We Just need to seek His Will.
• ACT ­ Once He has given you direction tell someone. Contact a member of the Women's Ministry Team or a staff member. Let us help you get started.
