What We Believe
At Ingleside we are dedicated to the glory of God and to His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord!
Our Purpose
Our purpose is to Adore God, Bring people to Jesus, Call believers to membership, Develop members to maturity, and Equip them for ministry.
We Believe
About The Bible
We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. As such, it is truth without any mixture of error and is the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and opinions should be tried.
About God
We believe that there is one living and true God who has revealed himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and who is worthy of all possible honor, worship, and praise. As Creator, Redeemer, and Ruler of heaven and earth, he is inexpressibly glorious in holiness and love.
About Jesus Christ
We believe in the full humanity and deity of Jesus Christ, his virgin birth, sinless life, death on the cross for our sins, bodily resurrection and ascension, present ministry of intercession for believers, and his personal and visible return in power and glory.
About the Holy Spirit
We believe in the personality and deity of the Holy Spirit who regenerates unbelievers, the evidence of which is repentance, faith, and newness of life; and indwells believers, enabling them to live a godly life, transforming them into the likeness of Christ, and keeping them by the power of God until the day of Jesus Christ.
About Man
We believe that man was created in the image of God and was intended to have fellowship with God. However, since Adam, all men are sinners by nature and by choice, and are under the just condemnation of a holy and righteous God.
About Salvation
We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone, who is the only and allsufficient Savior and the only Mediator between God and man; and that the gospel of this salvation should be shared with every person in the world.
About the Church
We believe that the Church, the Body of Christ, is a group of baptized believers, associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the gospel. The two ordinances of the Church are baptism, immersion in water of a believer in Christ, and the Lord’s Supper, a provision of bread and wine representing the body and blood of Christ.
Our Core Values
We value authentic worship
Our goal in worship, regardless of its style or expression, is worship “in spirit and in truth” (John 4:24).
We value those who are lost
Jesus came to “seek and to save what was lost” (Luke 19:10), and our goal is to do the same.
We value unity in the body
Our commitment is that we will “make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace” (Ephesians 4:3).
We value Christ-like character
The goal of the disciple-making process is for each of us to be more like Jesus. God’s plan is for us “to be conformed to the likeness of His Son” (Romans 8:29).
We value the ministry of every member
Our goal is for every member to fully use the God-given spiritual gifts and abilities for the good of the body (Romans 12:4-8,1 Corinthians 12; 1 Peter 4:10-11).
We value innovative methods
We are committed to developing creative methods (“new wineskins”) of engaging and communicating with those who need to hear (Matthew 9:17) the unchanging gospel of Jesus Christ (Hebrews 13:8). We will not “nullify the word of God for the sake of [our] tradition” (Matthew 15:6).
We value faithful stewardship
We acknowledge that God is the owner, and we are only managers who will give an account for our stewardship of every resource that God has entrusted to our care – time, money, talent, influence, even life itself. Our goal is, at the end of the day, to hear our Master say: “Well done, good and faithful servant!” (Matthew 25:14-30).
