How do I become a member of Ingleside?

 To become a member of Ingleside you must: (1) personally trust Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord; (2) be baptized by immersion (under the water) as a believer as a symbol of your salvation; and (3) complete our “Discovering Ingleside Membership” class.

 Check “I’d like to join this church family” on your Communication Card, and we will be in touch to talk with you about how to take the next step.

 What is the “Discovering Ingleside Membership” class?

 “Discovering Ingleside Membership” is a basic introduction to our church – what we believe, how we are structured, our history, our vision, and other essential information.  Since at Ingleside we have people from many different church backgrounds, we have found that this class plays an important role in introducing the specific dimensions of life at Ingleside and helping us to continue to be a unified family of faith.

 When is the class offered?

 The class is offered once a month on a Sunday afternoon.  The adult class is from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. and includes a snack supper.  Classes for children (3rd – 5th grades) and students (6th – 12th grades) are from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m.  All classes meet on the same Sunday of the month.

 Where does the class take place?

 You can sign in for classes for adults, students, or children outside of Room E-309.   To get there, park in the rear parking lot at the east entrance to the Worship Center. Come into the upper gathering area, and turn left to go upstairs to Room E-309.  (This is the X-treme Kids area.)  The adult, student, and children’s classrooms are all on that hallway.

 Is childcare provided?

 Yes, age-appropriate childcare/supervision is provided for children and students birth through high school. 

 What should I expect?

 Come ready to hear all about Ingleside – our beliefs, our doctrines, our structure, our history, our vision for the future – and about how you fit in!  Come ready to interact with a pastor from our staff team and other folks a lot like you who are attenders at Ingleside and want to learn more.

Should I come to “Discovering Ingleside Membership”?

 Come to “Discovering Ingleside Membership” if you fit any of these descriptions: 1) You’re new to our church and just want to learn more about us; 2) You’ve been here a while and want to take the next step in understanding what we’re all about; or 3) You’re ready to become a member of Ingleside.  The class is one of the requirements for membership.
