James 2:17 Our largest annual endeavor for local missions is our work with Christmas in April. Christmas in April is held on the last Saturday of April and is intended to provide safe, dry, and warm housing for those that own their homes but can no longer afford to take care of them. This endeavor into the inner city areas now refreshes nearly 65 homes on the Christmas in April Day. Some of these homes have required extensive repairs that include roof replacement, porch replacement, brick work, water damage repair, plumbing, electrical, and of course being painted inside and out. Ingleside just completed its seventh home that we were 100% responsible for and we have had 50% impact on two others. The Christmas in April Mission for Ingleside draws out nearly 120 of our members annually for work and for a time to get to know others outside of the traditional church setting. It is a time when our faith calls us to do a good work.
