Encouragement:
Hope and Help for
Difficult Days
Message series continues
this Sunday
What do you do when your
days are more difficult than you ever expected?
How do you respond when you are facing a time of testing and trial? Where do you turn when you are about to lose
heart? How do you hold on and stand firm
when you are tempted to give up?
The good news is that the
Bible addresses these questions directly.
In fact, the New Testament book of 1 Peter was written specifically to
offer help and hope to believers who were facing a “fiery trial” (1 Peter 4:12,
ESV). “My purpose in writing,” Peter wrote to those early believers, “is to encourage you” (1 Peter 5:12,
NLT).
This Sunday’s message is entitled, Encouragement During
Seasons of Suffering. Again this
Sunday, as we look to God’s Word there will be comfort, challenge, hope, and
help—real
encouragement for your heart and soul!
Checked Out Midweek?
If you are new to
Ingleside, you may not yet have discovered the opportunities for spiritual
growth on Wednesday nights. In each of
our age-group ministries and for adults, Wednesday nights are a time to grow
deeper and stronger in our walk with Christ.
Our adult Midweek gathering
is in the Worship
Center at 6:30 p.m. with
between 200 and 300 people usually in attendance. The service includes great musical worship, a
focused time of prayer for the needs of our church family and for missions, and
then in-depth, verse-by-verse teaching—currently through the gospel of Mark.
The teaching format on
Wednesday nights is also interactive. As
we dig into Scripture, there is an opportunity to ask questions and shape the
direction of the teaching. When you
come, be sure to bring your Bible.
Though the main text from Mark is on the printed outline, we dig into other
portions of God’s Word as well. I hope
to see you at Midweek soon.
Clear About the Mission?
Remember, our
mission is to make disciples—as many as we can and as mature as we can—all to
the glory of God. The Lord has favored
our work together thus far. But, we have
not yet reached our full redemptive potential.
I’m convinced that the best is yet to come!
Your Pastor and Friend,
