Solomon, king of ancient
Israel (reigned 961-922 BC), son of David and Bathsheba (2 Samuel
12:24). He was the builder of the Temple and possessed great
wisdom, the result of God's gift to him. |

The proverbs of Solomon are
from 970-930 B.C. In chapter 25, the Men of Hezekiah lived 200
years later. The proverbs credited to Lemuel and Agur are undated.
