Ingleside was begun by a group of families who had a vision for a growing and healthy church that would thrive for generations. Established on December 23, 1951, with 203 founding members, we continue to be a church that values vibrant worship, biblical teaching, rich fellowship, sacrificial service, and going with the gospel. Our clear mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the glory of God. Below, you will get a glimpse into how our church strives to fulfill our mission.

Come, Grow, Serve, Go

We describe how disciples are made with four biblical words: come, grow, serve, go. A disciple has come to Christ in repentance and faith. A disciple will grow in obedience and Christ-likeness. A disciple will serve like Jesus served. And a disciple will go in obedience to Jesus’ command to make more disciples.

These four words also describe the path we encourage every disciple to walk at Ingleside. We challenge every Christ-follower to . . .

Come… to worship

Grow… in a group

Serve… in the body, and

Go… with the gospel.

When, by God’s grace we do all four, it’s good for us, it glorifies God, and it builds up the church.

Our Core Values

  • We value authentic worship.

Our goal in worship, regardless of its style or expression, is worship “in spirit and in truth” (John 4:24).

  • We value those who are lost.

Jesus came to “seek and to save what was lost” (Luke 19:10), and our goal is to do the same.

  • We value unity in the body.

Our commitment is that we will “make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace” (Ephesians 4:3).

  • We value Christ-like character.

The goal of the disciple-making process is for each of us to be more like Jesus. God’s plan is for us “to be conformed to the likeness of His Son” (Romans 8:29).

  • We value the ministry of every member.

Our goal is for every member to fully use the God-given spiritual gifts and abilities for the good of the body (Romans 12:4-8, 1 Corinthians 12; 1 Peter 4:10-11).

  • We value innovative methods.

We are committed to developing creative methods (“new wineskins”) of engaging and communicating with those who need to hear (Matthew 9:17) the unchanging gospel of Jesus Christ (Hebrews 13:8). We will not “nullify the word of God for the sake of [our] tradition” (Matthew 15:6).

  • We value faithful stewardship.

We acknowledge that God is the owner, and we are only managers who will give an account for our stewardship of every resource that God has entrusted to our care – time, money, talent, influence, even life itself. Our goal is, at the end of the day, to hear our Master say: “Well done, good and faithful servant!” (Matthew 25:14-30)
