Gratitude for Easter at Ingleside 2023

As I reflect on our celebration of the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ this past weekend, my heart is filled with great gratitude – and I hope yours is too!

The powerful presence of God’s Spirit in our worship services was evident in the warm fellowship, the joyful songs, and the many who responded to the gospel with repentance, faith, and obedience.

Attendance in our five services totaled 4,035 on-campus, with 304 joining on the livestream for a total of 4,339 worshipers.

Beyond our Easter weekend services, more than 900 boys and girls and their families participated in our Easter Family Fun Day, more than 400 people attended our Palm Sunday evening Chapel Choir concert, and many were blessed by the Easter art exhibit on the mezzanine.

Throughout the celebration, hundreds of Inglesiders served with joy, excellence, and a heart to please the Lord. I’m very thankful for each of you and your partnership in the gospel. Thank you for praying, inviting, giving, and serving. I’m confident the Lord is pleased with our labor in his name.

The bottom line is that I’m very grateful for the Lord’s favor and blessing on our ministry together. He gets all the glory for all the good that is done!

Of course, every Sunday is not Easter, but every Sunday is a celebration of the resurrection and the eternal life that we have in Christ.

So if you are in town, I hope you will be in worship this Sunday. It will be another opportunity to gather in Jesus’ name, to offer our worship, to hear God’s word, to celebrate the gospel, and to encourage one another as we walk in obedience to the Lord.

It’s a great joy to be on this journey with you, and I’m still convinced that the best is yet to come!

Your Pastor and Friend,
