Macon Impact and Foster Care Announcement

Macon Impact

What is it? Macon Impact is a churchwide week of serving our city in the name of Jesus. Of course, Ingleside groups and individuals serve our city in lots of ways throughout the year. Macon Impact is an opportunity for us to do so in a focused, coordinated way as a church family.

Why do we do it? As we serve, we also look for opportunities to tell people about Jesus and the salvation we can have in him. It’s really, then, a way that we go with the gospel and have a gospel impact right here in Macon, in the city where God has planted us.

When is it? April 18-25. There are opportunities to participate all throughout the week.

Who can participate? Individuals, families, classes, or groups.

How can you participate? Go to our Missions web page to see the various options and register for the one (or more!) you would like to participate in. If you have questions, you can contact our Missions team or talk to them in person in the Gathering Area on Sunday morning.

Let’s let the people of our city know that we love them, care about them, and want them to know the hope, joy, and peace – the abundant life! – that we have in Christ.

Foster Care Initiative

Our Lord has told us to care for children who need a family (Isaiah 1:17; James 1:27). In obedience to his command, and in line with my heart, I am excited to share that we are beginning a new partnership with a Christian foster care agency, Families 4 Families.

Families 4 Families works with churches not only to help place children in Christian families but also to provide support for those families. Click here to learn more about Families 4 Families.

What can you do?

  1. Give. As part of Macon Impact, you can donate gift cards to foster care families so they can eat out. Those will be collected in the Ingleside Bookstore.
  2. Learn. On Sunday, April 26, 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. in W-200, we will have an informational meeting for anyone interested in helping with foster care in any way. Whether you are interested in exploring the possibility of fostering or supporting families who do, this meeting is for you!

Watch the video below to hear about the eternal impact that fostering can have.

I am praying that the Lord will use our church family to have a gospel impact on our community and on children who need a family.

With the affection of Christ,
