Making an Impact

I love Macon Impact week! It’s a chance for our church to have a gospel impact by loving and serving our community in the name of Jesus.

So far, we have had over 350 people participate in 43 projects, including:

  • home repairs for refugee families
  • prayer walking all over the city
  • providing meals to ministries like Cross Roads and the Ronald McDonald House
  • volunteering at food banks/clothing
  • serving breakfast for teachers at Rosa Taylor Elementary School
  • sharing the gospel door-to-door at an apartment complex
  • Kid Sessions singing at Pinegate Senior Living
  • an art project for a local Hospice center
  • a demolition/helping with a remodel at a local church in our association, and lots of people, classes, and groups collecting items for and donating to various local organizations

I am so thankful for everyone who has participated in any way. And it’s not too late! Click here to see some of the remaining ways that you can be part of Macon Impact.

Families 4 Families Foster Care Partnership

Another way that we can have a gospel impact is by caring for children who need a family. This Sunday, April 26, 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. in Room W-200, we will have an informational meeting for anyone interested in helping with foster care in any way.

Whether you are interested in exploring the possibility of fostering or supporting families who do, this meeting is for you!

Families 4 Families will also have a table in the Gathering Area throughout the morning, so stop by to learn more!

Overseer Recommendations

Inside the worship folder this week, you will find an Overseer recommendation form. If you know of men who have the listed qualities and you think would serve well as an Overseer, complete the form and turn it in on your way out of the worship service. Our Nominating Committee will review each recommendation and develop a list of nominees, which will be presented to the church and voted on at our Semi-Annual Church Conference in August.

With the affection of Christ,
