Much To Celebrate
At Ingleside, we often say that “people are down on what they’re not up on.” So we do our best to make sure you are “up on” what’s happening in the life of our church. That’s one reason why this blog often looks ahead so that you have the information you need about upcoming church-wide events.
It’s also good, however, to occasionally look back and celebrate what the Lord has done. Here are some of the things I am celebrating this week, which provide a window into the life of our church and what the Lord is doing:
Did you know that since the beginning of August, 15 people have confessed faith in Christ through baptism, with two more scheduled for this coming Sunday!
During that time, we have had 42 people join Ingleside and make this their church home.
This fall, we have averaged 130 men at our C2 Gathers and have 134 men involved in a C2 group. Of course, our Women’s Ministry continues to thrive as well!
This past Sunday morning, before I had even left the building, I heard two stories of people saying Yes to the Lord and taking specific steps of obedience in response to what they heard from his word.
This past week, I received a letter from the Senior Pastor of Macedonia Baptist Church, which runs one of the food banks to which we recently donated. The letter reads in part, “[Ingleside’s] donation will help us further our mission to help feed more families in our community. Your generosity is much appreciated by us and those we serve.”
The Lord is very much at work in us, among us, and through us. I am grateful for that. I am also grateful for you, our church family, and the ways that you offer your time, talents, and treasure to the Lord. He is using your faithfulness and generosity.
There is much to celebrate!
Thank You, Jon Kitchens!
This past week, Jon Kitchens, our Associate Recreation Minister, celebrated 25 years on our team! We are thankful for him and his ministry at Ingleside. As you have the opportunity, join me in congratulating Jon on 25 years.
