Next Steps for the Next Year
As we begin a new year, it’s a natural time to ask, “What’s next?” It may be helpful to ask that question in a number of areas of life, but I certainly hope you will ask it related to your relationship with the Lord. Here are some possible next steps to consider:
- Baptism. If you have placed your faith in Jesus but have not yet been baptized, then that would be the next step for you! Email baptism@ingleside.orgto let us know you are interested in being baptized and to get that conversation started.
- Membership. If you have been attending Ingleside but have not yet become a member, I want to invite you to the membership class on Sunday, January 11, at 4:00 p.m. in F-300. You will learn a lot about our church, have a chance to ask questions, and be given the opportunity to become a member at the end of the class.
- Join a Group. We want everyone who is part of Ingleside to be part of a group. Members of groups know, care for, and encourage one another, and grow in their faith together. You can find options for groups here.
- Serve. Have you been at Ingleside for a while but haven’t found your place of service yet? Find opportunities to serve here or contact one of our ministry leaders. Every member is on mission!
- Go. Maybe the next step for you is going on a mission trip. I want to invite you to our Missions Orientation on Sunday, January 11, at 4:00 p.m. in the Dining Room. You will learn about missions, how to share the gospel, and what’s involved in going on an Ingleside mission trip. You can learn more about missions at Ingleside here.
- Give. One way to be part of our God-given mission is by joyfully giving. If you are ready to take the next step in this area, check out our Give page here.
- Bible Reading. If you need a Bible reading plan for this year, we’ve got you! Go here to see several options to choose from, as well as some resources to help you understand and apply what you read. If you don’t have a Bible, please grab one from one of the tables just outside the main entrances on the lower level of the Worship Center.
