In today’s blog, I want (1) to make sure you know about the election of our Pastor Search Committee; (2) to introduce you to two new ministry leaders on our staff; and (3) to invite you to our patriotic worship service on July 2.

Pastor Search Committee Elected

At our Called Church Conference on Wednesday night, June 14, our church family elected Vicki Bass, Alex Correa, Ben Hinson, Robby Jones, Katie Judah, Johnny Mitchell, and Nick Morgan to serve on our Pastor Search Committee.

As this group begins their work, please join me in asking the Lord daily to give wisdom, discernment, and favor as they search for our next Lead Pastor at Ingleside.

Two New Ministry Leaders

Young Adult Pastor. On May 30, Stape Patterson joined our team as our Young Adult Pastor. Stape’s wife is Amy, and they have a two-year-old daughter, Taylor. Stape is responsible for leading our ministries focused on college through 29-year-old young adults. Stape is a graduate of Shorter University and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He previously served as Student Minister at Northbrook Baptist Church in Cullman, Alabama. Please join me in welcoming Stape and his family to Ingleside!

Women’s Ministry Director. On June 4, Melanie Foster became our first Women’s Ministry Director at Ingleside. Melanie has served on our team since May 2019 as Assistant to the Discipleship Pastor. In her new role, Melanie will provide leadership to all our women’s ministries, including TAG, special events, classes, and groups for women, and through individual mentoring and disciple-making. Melanie’s husband is Ron, and they have two adult children, Jackson and Gracie. Please join me in congratulating Melanie on her new role on our team!

Celebrate Freedom – Sunday, July 2

On Sunday, July 2, we will have one great worship service only at 10:30 a.m. as we celebrate the freedom we have in Christ and the freedoms that we enjoy as Americans.

In 1 Peter 2:17, the Bible says, “Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the emperor” (ESV). That’s just what we plan to do on July 2 as we celebrate our liberties, honor America, encourage one another, and worship God.

I hope you will invite a friend and join us on July 2!

Your Pastor and Friend,
