Welcome to the Team!
I am excited that Scooter Noland has joined our team as the Discipleship Pastor/Disciple-Making Team Leader. As you know, David Peterson will transition to the role of Executive Pastor at the end of the year. Andy Johnson’s last day on our team will be December 31.
I am thankful that God has provided such an experienced leader at just the right time for this role. Scooter’s education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Theology from Baptist College of Florida and a Master of Arts in Christian Education from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
His leadership experience includes ministry with middle school, high school, and college students for almost seven years at First Baptist Church of Panama City, Florida, followed by time with the International Mission Board, before coming to Ingleside to serve as our High School Pastor for four years. For the last 16 years, Scooter has served as a pastor at Hope Church in Tupelo, Mississippi. He served first as the High School Pastor for a couple of years, then as Interim Lead Pastor, and has been the Lead Pastor for the last 12 years.
His experience with missions, his leadership of a young adult Bible study, his experience beginning a men’s ministry at his church, his overall leadership of a staff, and his teaching gifts all make him a great fit for this role! Scooter is married to Allyson, and they have two adult children.
You can contact Scooter at snoland@ingleside.org, especially if you’re looking to get connected to a group! Scooter and Allyson look forward to greeting you personally in the Gathering Area between services this Sunday, September 7, as well as that afternoon in a drop-in welcome reception at 4:00 p.m. in W-200.
With the addition of Scooter to our team, our current Team Leaders are:
Wil Fason – Next Generation Team
Jonathan Green – Worship Arts Team
Mark Hudgins – Membership Team
Tim Newberry – Operations Team
Scooter Noland – Disciple-Making Team
I am thankful for all the amazing staff members that the Lord has blessed our church with. You can see the entire staff here.
