Asking God to Work Through Us and In Us
For the next six weeks, we will be talking a lot about our NEXT initiative, which I am incredibly excited about. I believe the Lord will work through this initiative and through us to advance the mission He has given us. I am also excited, though, about what the Lord may do IN us during this journey. While there will be some specific application to our NEXT initiative, much of what we will study together will include more general principles that apply to lots of areas of life. I am asking the Lord to use the next six weeks to shape the culture of our church, as well as our individual lives.
Here is the plan for the six Sunday mornings of this study:
- Sunday, October 11: “Let’s Tear the Roof Off!”
- Sunday, October 18: “Buildings Matter”
- Sunday, October 25: “Building the Church Matters More”
- Sunday, November 1: “We Build Together”
- Sunday, November 8: “Building Beyond Ingleside”
- Sunday, November 15: “Before We Build…”

Sunday, October 18, 4:00 p.m. AND Wednesday, October 28, 6:15 p.m.; W-200
“Building A Budget That Honors God”
This is a one-part class, offered at two different times, led by Ingleside Overseers with financial planning expertise. This class will provide principles for developing a wise, God-honoring budget.
Sunday, October 25, 4:00 p.m.; W-200
“Planned Giving Class”
This class will be presented by the Georgia Baptist Foundation and will cover topics such as: Donor Advised Funds, Required Minimum Distributions, and estate planning. It will help you steward your resources well and in a way that allows for maximum generosity.
Monday, October 26, 6:30 p.m.; Preschool Parking Lot at Ingleside
Advance Commitment Night
This evening is for all those who want to lead in the area of giving by being among the first to make a commitment towards NEXT. We will sing together, pray together, and make our commitments.
Sunday, December 6
Celebration Sunday
We will share the total amount committed to NEXT. This will also be the day you can make your first gift to NEXT.
