Let’s Tear the Roof Off!
This past Sunday, we launched our NEXT initiative! Watch this video for an overview.
We also said that we want to be a “tear the roof off” kind of church – a church willing to do whatever it takes to help more people know, love, and follow Jesus. As a reminder, here are two ways we can do that:
Park Farther. We have available spots, but they are on the other side of Wimbish Rd in the shopping center. If you are a regular attender and able, please plan to park across the street, making as much room as possible close to the building for new people.
Make A Commitment to Make A Commitment. We will have time to make our actual commitments for NEXT on Monday, October 26, and Sunday, November 15. In the meantime, will you go ahead and commit to making a commitment when that time comes? As you pray, think, talk, and plan toward that, here are several things to keep in mind:
- Your commitment is the total amount you plan to give toward NEXT over the next three years. If you are able and would like to give the entirety of your gift at once, you can. But you don’t have to.
- Your NEXT giving is above and beyond your regular giving. We need you to give what you are already giving so that we can continue to provide the ministry that we are already doing.
- In addition to cash gifts, you can give assets – real estate, collections, stocks and mutual funds, donor-advised funds, etc. Click here for more details. - Every commitment matters. We’re not asking for equal giving; we’re asking for equal faithfulness. What has God entrusted to you in this season? What is he leading you to give?
- Your commitment and giving will remain confidential. Of course, our financial office will have access to that information, but no one else will. The rest of our staff and church will only know church-wide totals.
Fall Family Festival
This free event will be on Wednesday, October 21, from 5:30–8:00 p.m. We will have inflatables, games, rides, music, and food. I hope you will plan to be here and invite someone to join you. If you do have a guest with you, I would love to meet them!
