Looking to the Days Ahead

Cassie and I are incredibly excited to begin this next chapter with you! We are praising the Lord for a great beginning to this season of transition and are praying for the Lord’s continued favor toward our church in the days ahead.

New Next Generation Team Leader. I am excited to share with you that, in consultation with Dr. McCoy, our current Lead Pastor, we have invited Wil Fason to serve as our Next Generation Team Leader.

Wil has served on our team faithfully for almost five years as our Middle School Pastor. He will continue to serve in that role while taking on the additional responsibility of providing leadership to our Next Generation Team. His first day as Next Generation Team Leader will be Wednesday, May 1.

Plans for July. I also want you to be aware of my plans, as well as some church-wide plans, for the month of July. After consulting with our Overseer Chairman, we will continue our pattern of having other Ingleside pastors preach each Sunday in July.

This will allow you to hear from other pastors on our team and will allow me to spend extra time in focused prayer and preparation going into the fall. I will also be in the office a couple of days each week to meet with and provide leadership to our staff.

We will only have one worship service at 10:30 a.m. in the Worship Center for the four Sundays in July. The preaching schedule is as follows:

  • Sunday, July 7 (Celebrate Freedom service): Andy Johnson, Executive Pastor
  • Sunday, July 14: Mark Hudgins, Membership Pastor
  • Sunday, July 21: David Peterson, Discipleship Pastor/Disciple Making Team Leader
  • Sunday, July 28: Wil Fason, Middle School Pastor/Next Generation Team Leader

Sunday, August 4 will be an “installation day” to formally mark the beginning of my tenure as Lead Pastor and a new season for Ingleside. I hope you will make plans to be part of a special day in the life of our church!
