NEXT Events

Open House: September 13-16. During the times below, you can drop in and see the various areas we’re considering updating as part of our NEXT initiative. Begin in the Gathering Area, pick up a Prayer Card, and start the tour in the Worship Center. You can also pray for the ministry that takes place in those spaces.

  • Sunday, September 13, 3:00 – 7:00 p.m.
  • Monday, September 14, 2:00 – 6:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, September 16, 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Vision Nights: September 16 and 20. At each of these events, you will hear from me about the vision and the “why” behind NEXT, as well as what the process has been up to this point, details about the plans (including renderings of the concepts), and the process moving forward.

  • Wednesday, September 16, 6:30 p.m. in the Worship Center (Ice cream fellowship to follow)
  • Sunday, September 20, 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel

Ministry to Men, Ministry to Women

Much of what we do as a church, we do all together. Both men and women are part of our weekly worship services and special events, and many (though not all) groups are co-ed. We are like brothers and sisters in our faith family called Ingleside.

It is also good, though, at times to have gatherings that are gender-specific. We are pointed in that direction in Titus 2: Older women are to “train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.” Older men are to “urge the younger men to be self-controlled,” and to set an example of being “sober-minded, dignified, self-controlled, sound in faith, in love, and in steadfastness” (Titus 2:2-6).

So, throughout the year, we have various opportunities for men to meet with other men and for women to meet with other women. It’s our prayer that those gatherings will allow for relationship building and encouragement in the faith. I want to invite you to two of those events that are coming up.

Still for Women. Thursday, October 1, 5:30 p.m.  Still is designed to remind you that God invites you to be still in his presence. (Psalm 46:10) In the midst of all the chaos, we can experience an unhurriedness that our Father can provide. When we rest in his strength, trust his power, and embrace his peace, we can experience the deep stillness our hearts long for. Join us as we welcome Ruth Chou Simons, bestselling author, speaker, artist, and founder of GraceLaced. A light dinner will be served in the Gathering Area beginning at 5:30 p.m., followed by the event at 6:30 p.m. in the Worship Center. You can sign up here.

C2 Gather for Men. Saturday, October 3, 7:30 a.m. Proverbs 27:17 tells us that “Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.” That is exactly what we want to accomplish when we gather as men. So, join us for our next C2 Gather as we gather around the table for breakfast, fellowship, worship, a powerful testimony, and teaching from God’s word. It’s a morning designed to encourage, strengthen, and challenge men to keep growing in their walk with Christ, because at Ingleside, no man walks alone. You can sign up here.

I hope you will plan to be here and invite someone to join you so that they can benefit as well!

Congratulations to Cynthia Griffin

This month, Cynthia Griffin celebrated 30 years on our team as a Mother’s Morning Out and Weekday Preschool teacher. Please join me in congratulating Cynthia and thanking her for three decades of investing in children and their families!
