Reception for Jonathan Green
This Sunday, August 30, will be Jonathan Green’s last day with us as our Worship Arts Pastor / Worship Arts Team Leader. In each service, we will have a chance to express our appreciation for the past 13 years and to pray for the Green family as they move into their next chapter. We will also have a reception for them in the Gathering Area after the 11:00 a.m. service. I hope you can join us for that time of fellowship as we celebrate the Greens’ ministry and thank them.
So, what is the plan moving forward? Beginning Monday, August 31, Chris Hawkins, our Production Ministry Coordinator, will serve as the Interim Worship Arts Team Leader, providing overall leadership to that staff team and ministry. Chris has been on our team for 19 years, is an excellent leader, and knows our Worship Arts Ministry as well as anyone!
Brayden Hutcheson, our Worship Arts Associate, will provide leadership for our 9:40 and 11:00 a.m. services, as well as Student Sessions. Brayden is an exceptionally gifted musician and worship leader. Thanks to his history at Ingleside in various roles, Brayden already knows our people, our culture, and our processes.
Of course, the rest of our Worship Arts Team will continue to provide leadership as well. Those team members include:
- Maggie Hollis, Assistant to the Worship Arts Pastor (orchestra and Kid Sessions)
- Will Carpenter, Production Ministry Associate
- Sarah Santiago, Assistant to the Production Ministry Director
- Michael Wutzke, Traditional Worship Arts Minister
- Sandy Smith, Traditional Worship Arts Associate / Organist
- Allen Wheeler, Young Adult Music Director
- Sophia Weaver, Worship Arts Intern and Middle School Music Director
I am thankful that under the leadership of this team, along with amazing and committed volunteers who serve, worship arts ministry will continue with excellence in the days ahead – including regular worship services, special events, Kid Sessions, Student Sessions, and our Christmas Presentation.
It gives me great joy – and more importantly, it pleases the Lord – that our church family can gather regularly to worship together in various settings, and I am thankful for a ministry that helps make that possible!
Families 4 Families
Our Lord has told us to care for children who need a family (Isaiah 1:17; James 1:27). In obedience to his command, and in line with His heart, we partner with a Christian foster care agency called Families 4 Families.
Families 4 Families works with churches not only to help place children in Christian families, but also to support those families. On Wednesday, September 2, we will have an informational meeting for anyone interested in helping with foster care in any way.
Whether you are interested in exploring the possibility of fostering or supporting families that do, this meeting is for you!
