Church family,
I want to let you know that Jonathan Green, our Worship Arts Team Leader, will be transitioning off our team at the end of August. This Sunday, Jonathan will be leading at another church as the last step in the interview process, and we anticipate that they will offer him the position that day. As he and I have talked about the next season of ministry for him and some of his passions, this opportunity seems to be a good fit that he is excited about – and I’m excited for him.
Jonathan has served our church well for 13 years. In addition to his weekly leadership, he started Kid Sessions and Student Sessions. He also took our Christmas Presentation to new levels. Our church and our community have truly benefitted from his ministry.
I know that you will want to join me in thanking Jonathan for all that he has done for Ingleside and in praying for him in the next season of ministry. In the days ahead, we will honor Jonathan, Gina, and their family in the appropriate ways.
I am thankful for our Worship Arts Team and for all who serve in our Worship Arts Ministry. Thanks to them, we will continue to worship through singing each week in our normal patterns. We will also be planning toward and trusting the Lord to provide the right leader for the next season. In the coming days, we will develop an interim plan to begin in September.
I love you, church family. It’s a joy to be on this mission together and to gather each week for worship!
Our annual budget approval process always includes a “town meeting” where all Inglesiders are invited to hear about the proposed budget, ask questions, and offer suggestions as we formulate the budget for the coming year. This year’s budget “town meeting” is Sunday afternoon, June 28, at 4:00 p.m. in W-200.
